The 2017 version of “America’s Toughest Stage Race,” recently concluded in a wild finish in downtown Salt Lake. The Tour of Utah is a seven day professional bike race held in August of each year, and travels throughout Utah. Viewers from around the world tune in to watch some of the world’s best cyclists race through Utah’s beautiful scenery. This year, the race visited Logan, Bear Lake, the historic Pony Express trail, Snowbird, Sundance and the Alpine Loop, among many other locations. On the final day the race ended with the iconic, wild, and adrenaline-filled Salt Lake City circuit race, with riders flying down South Temple, up State Street to the State Capitol, and around the Avenues at speeds north of 50 miles per hour.

Canadian Rob Britton of Rally Cycling took the overall win and the yellow jersey. He had this to say about the win and his team:

We’re very tight knit and I have a lot of confidence in them and they have a lot of confidence of me. I’ve been doing it (racing) for a while and there’s a lot of pressure that comes with that, but it’s something that I kind of thrive on and I am very grateful to have such a fantastic team around me because without them I wouldn’t be where I am.
